Freeths is proud to announce it鈥檚 been acknowledged in Stonewall鈥檚 Workplace Equality Index (WEI) 2024, receiving silver-level accreditation for the first time, as part of the firm鈥檚 ongoing commitment to diversity and inclusion (D&I).
Stonewall is Europe鈥檚 largest charity for lesbian, gay, bi, trans and queer (LGBTQ+) rights, and the WEI features businesses that have displayed achievements and progress surrounding LGBTQ+ initiatives throughout the year. Such progress is calculated through a number of rigorous measures, including but not limited to policies and benefits, the employee lifecycle and staff networks.
This accolade demonstrates the extensive progress made by the firm across LGBTQ+ identities, and is a testament to Freeths鈥� considered, thorough submission.

Following the results of Stonewall鈥檚 WEI, Freeths鈥� SHINE Network, comprised of members of the LGBTQ+ community and its allies, has bolstered its development. The network now has Employment Partner Kevin Poulter as its Executive Sponsor, as well as Legal Assistant Ornanto Mecaj and Trainee Solicitor Tiegan Patrick as its Co-Chairs.
