As the lockdown starts to ease, Greater Manchester Chamber is partnering with 听to offer听staff听a cycle to work scheme.听听
Available to all permanent听Chamber听staff, the salary sacrifice scheme enables employees听to purchase a bike and/or appropriate clothing and protective/safety equipment, as well as听benefit听from tax and听National Insurance听savings.听听
The听scheme will be supported by the following amenities听at Elliot House:听听
- 12 bike rails听to allow for safe and secure storage of bikes.听
- Showers听maintained as part of听a听鈥楥ovid Secure鈥� plan to ensure they are safe to use.听
- A听pump听and听basic maintenance kit for communal use听
Nathan Chew, Chamber Space General Manager,听said: 鈥淭he cycle to work scheme is part of听our commitment to helping听those staff who听want听to return to the office to commute to work safely.听
听鈥淐ycling provides a healthy and environmentally-friendly听alternative to commuting by public transport or car. Local authorities are also encouraging people to cycle听more听by increasing the number of cycle lanes, so this is a great time to try cycling to work.鈥�听
