This event kindly sponsored by has been developed and will be led by private sector companies with support from Greater Manchester Chamber and the two local Council to help businesses in the region benefit from construction opportunities in the local authority area.Ìý

By working with the public sector, we want to help businesses understand what opportunities are available and how the tendering process works. The session will focus on the development and construction opportunities and will feature presentations on specific projects.

• Mike Reed, Head of Development and Major Programmes, Tameside Council, will be presenting an update on the Stalybridge Regeneration and another development opportunity (not in the public domain as yet)
• Mike Tyler, North West Construction Hub, will be speaking about upcoming opportunities at Adswood Depo in Stockport and also Ashton Town Centre.
• Peter Gleave, Kier Construction, will be updating on Stockroom, Lisburne SEN and another project just secured in the Stockport area.
• Nick Sunderland, who has over 20 years’ experience in advising clients and contractors on construction contracts and dispute resolution, will be presenting a selection of common contractual problems along with their solution, which will be relevant for all construction businesses.Ìý
